Oil filter – to keep your engine running smoothly
An oil filter is necessary to protect the engine against impurities in the engine oil. Short journeys and stop-and-go traffic are a particular source of stress. Frequent cold starting produces more condensate and excess fuel in the mixture. Consequence: Unburnt hydrocarbons and condensate ingress into the oil. These evaporate at high engine temperatures, thus further detracting from the lubrication properties of the oil. Air filter – end of the line for all sorts of dirt particles
Air is constantly drawn in whilst driving to cool the engine and obtain the correct fuel mixture. The purpose of the air filter is to provide effective protection of the engine against dirt particles and thus premature wear. It also keeps the noise level down. Filter leakage and porosity lead to unmetered air entering the intake duct. And so Bosch air filters feature a particularly hardwearing polyurethane seal which is precisely adapted to the housing shape, offsets any unevenness and remains flexible and supple over the entire filter service life.

Cabin filter – a breath of fresh air
To ensure a pleasant atmosphere at all times when driving, pollen, dust and pollutants first have to be removed from the fresh air being drawn in. The material used is obtained by the destructive distillation of natural coconut shells with the exclusion of air.
